Remove One Person from Group Photos

A real two-pass workflow for removing one target from a group photo.

Best for: remove one person while preserving everyone else

Core principles

  • Fully cover the target person to avoid leftovers.
  • If pass 1 has artifacts, use refine for local fixes.
  • Tune prompt slightly; do not rewrite the default prompt.

Step 1: choose source and target

Target: remove only the leftmost male, keep all others unchanged.

Step 2: pass-1 mask and generate

Key: fully cover the leftmost male. Minor overspill can be fixed in pass 2.

Step 3: diagnose pass-1 artifact

Issue: an extra hand remains on the left girl. Click “Not clean enough? Paint and regenerate” for pass 2.

Step 4: pass-2 local mask + prompt tuning

Mark only the residual hand and lightly tune prompt on top of the default prompt.

Suggested refined prompt:
